School Bus Accident Leaves Two Students Injured

A school bus accident in Florida sent more than 20 people to the hospital. The accident happened on Interstate 10 in Santa Rosa County, just west of the Highway 87 exit.

The school bus was carrying 17 students from Walker Elementary, and four adults. The bus collided with an SUV driven by Paul Atwell.

Atwell tells FOX10 News the accident happened very quickly, and that as soon as he could, he tried to help people on the bus.

Everyone on the bus was taken to the hospital. One student and one adult had to be flown by helicopter. It’s believed that none of the injuries is life-threatening.

The Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident. Fox 10 News reporter Christina Leavenworth was on the scene earlier today.
