Ft. Worth Texas Auto Accident Medical Condition
A 76-year-old driver who hit six vehicles near the intersection of Bryant Irvin Road and State Highway 183 in southwest Fort Worth may have had a medical emergency that caused the accident, police said.
Donaldson Frizzell of Fort Worth, died at John Peter Smith Hospital on Thursday, the medical examiner’s office said.
Frizzell was driving a tan Cadillac northbound on Bryant Irvin about 5:30 p.m. Thursday when he began weaving, police said. At the intersection of Highway 183 and Bryant Irvin, Frizzell hit a Subaru sedan and careened off a pickup.
His car continued northbound across a grass median and up an embankment before crashing through a guardrail onto the eastbound lanes of Highway 183. He then struck a Dodge truck and a Chevrolet sedan before stopping.
Police did not suspect alcohol as a factor in the accident. The medical examiner’s office will determine whether Frizzell suffered a medical emergency that could have caused the accident.
