Nacogdoches Texas Police Officers are investigating a major vehicle crash that occurred at 9:12 a.m. Monday on North Stallings Drive. A 1993 Honda driven by Ashley McCraw, 22, of Nacogdoches, was westbound in the 200 block of North Stallings Drive. McCraw attempted to make a U-turn and was struck broadside by a 1992 Toyota van traveling east driven by Jacob Mumm, 36, also of Nacogdoches. McCraw was taken to the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for very serious injuries and Mumm was taken to the Nacogdoches Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, the release said.

A 27-year-old woman was killed at 6:30 a.m. June 10 after she lost control of her vehicle on State Highway 21, 5.7 miles west of San Augustine, according to Department of Public Safety officials. The woman, Dalila Aguillon Zuniga, 27 of San Augustine, was westbound at an unsafe rate of speed on the wet highway when she lost control of her 1996 Mercury Sable, it struck a culvert, flipped over and ignited, trapping Zuniga inside, DPS said. The wreck was investigated by Center DPS officer Keith Preusse. Zuniga was taken to Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine.
